Softbank Wins Sprint’s Shareholders, Now What?

Sprint shareholders voted to approve a deal for Japanese telecommunications corporation SoftBank to purchase 78% of Sprint. How SoftBank will use their majority share in Sprint is yet to be seen, but the author of this article suggests teaming up with CenturyLink to create a competitive advantage against AT&T and Verizon wireless. The author also suggests that Softbank could shift their businesses into fiber-light backbone development.
