Programmer Bob

According to the security blog of Verizon Communications, one of its clients’ employees (dubbed Programmer Bob) had surreptitiously paid a Chinese consulting firm to complete his software projects using his credentials. In response to this news, a post by Julie Lockner on Informatica’s blog discusses the negative implications of such a security breach.

The post recommends protecting internal data using security software and a practice called data masking.
