NBA Refs Wearing Google Glass is Latest Example of Mass ‘Glass-teria’

Google last year announced its at a wearable computer wrapped into, and around, glasses. Al Sacco (who invented the term Glass-teria) thinks the idea of people using the device — yet to be released publicly and possibly never to see mainstream use — is somewhat ludicrous. Some NBA refs reportedly used the device at Houston Rockets games. The Houston Rockets GM even thought Glass might be a great idea for refs and other NBA officials to wear so TV viewers could see what they saw on the court. Hold the glasses, says Sacco; the NBA has yet to comment officially.
