L.A. Times, Salon.com Hit By Large-Scale Malvertising Campaign

Malvertising campaigns have come to light affecting many brand name sites, such as the LA Times, during a few days in late August. Using malicious coding to redirect users to advertisement websites, often without the knowledge of the user. The code remained dormant until those days in August, when it sprang to life, affecting hundreds of users.
