In the coming years, IT managers could experience difficulty recruiting qualified IT workers. Surveys show a shortage of important skills, partially due to a lack of effective marketing about IT careers. Newer technologies are producing a temporary lack of workers in areas such as cloud based computing and enterprise data analysis; however, this shortage will likely correct itself over time. Workers entering the field will see these new areas as opportunities for advancement. The author would like to know about organizations working to draw attention to and remedy these challenges so he can cover them in future articles.
