600Mbps to the Moon

Scientist and engineers at NASA recently announced major advances in their ability to communicate with objects in space. The new concept involves using lasers rather than radio signals to send information between two points. Officials at NASA say they have been able to reach a bandwidth connection of 600Mbps with their Lunar and Atmospheric Dust Environment Explorer probe that is orbiting the moon.
